Where the data comes from

Every company record on NewCoFeed comes from the Companies House public register, the statutory record of companies registered in the United Kingdom. We use two of their published products: the free bulk company data snapshot for history, and the public Companies House API for the daily update.

Licence

Companies House data is published under the Open Government Licence v3.0, which permits commercial reuse provided the source is acknowledged. This site contains public sector information licensed under that licence.

NewCoFeed is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Companies House or any UK government department.

What we hold — and what we deliberately do not

We store company-level records only:

• Registered company name and number
• Date of incorporation, company status and type
• Registered office address and postcode
• SIC codes describing the nature of the business

We do not collect, store, enrich or sell directors' names, dates of birth, residential addresses, personal phone numbers or personal email addresses, and we do not build marketing lists of named individuals. A registered office is a corporate address, and the records we hold describe companies rather than people.

How current it is

The ingest runs every morning and re-scans the previous three days, because Companies House occasionally back-fills late registrations. We keep a rolling window of roughly the last 120 days; older records drop out.

Accuracy

We reproduce the register as published and do not alter records. Companies House does not verify all information filed with it, so entries may be incomplete or out of date at source. Always check the official record before relying on any detail for a business decision. We link to it from every company page.

Corrections

If a record here is wrong, it is almost certainly wrong on the register too, and must be corrected at source through Companies House — we will pick the correction up automatically. If you believe a record should not appear on this site, contact us and we will review it.
